Hancock's Turkey Food Plot Mix is the ideal seed mixture for attracting wild turkeys and other wildlife. This mix is designed to provide season-long feeding, with early, medium and late maturity.

Hancock's Turkey Food Plot Mix contains:
25% Brown Top Millet
25% Dove Proso Millet
20% Sorghum (WGF)
15% Buckwheat
15% Chufa
**Mixture is subject to change depending on seed availability**
Remove all old vegetation to prepare a clean seedbed by means of a disc. Drag area to loosen and level any hard or uneven spots if necessary. Apply a slow-release starter fertilizer at the recommended rate of 250 lbs. per acre. Fertilize three times a year for best results.
Broadcast seed at recommended rate. Drag or roll lightly to cover the seed no more than 1/4 in. below surface. If you are overseeding an existing area, it is pertinent to mow existing grass low and incorporate seed 1/4 in. into soil for best results. Apply irrigation for approximately 30 minutes each evening until soil is damp, and germination has occurred. Irrigate newly-seeded areas every other day until the sprout reaches 6 in., then water recommended three times a week if needed.
Application rate recommendation is 40 lbs. per acre during the Spring, after frost have concluded.

United StatesAfter 5 weeks since planting, overall quite satisfied. Sorghum, millet, and buckwheat doing well. As the area has turkeys, I was not surprised chufa is sparse. Ground was not tilled before planting. Seed was broadcast then used a heavy cultipacker. No doubt turkeys got to some of the seed but plot still looks good. Looking forward to fall turkey season.

United StatesThis is an awesome product. The germination rate was excellent, as I have a nice stand that will be great for turkeys and quail. I love the types of seed that included in the mix, which really takes the guesswork out of knowing what needs to be planted. I can't wait to see how the birds utilize this plot as the seeds mature in the fall.
