All Hancock Signature Seed is tested at least twice annually, to ensure that it carries the full germination potential that we guarantee. If we get the seed from other family farmers, we inspect it on-site. We refuse to sell seed that was gathered prior to the most recent harvest. We might not be able to mass produce seed, but we can guarantee our quality like no one else.

We have grown mightily since our founding in 1978, but the Hancock Farm goes back several generations, on land Francine Hancock inherited from her father, and she and her husband Richard have in turn passed it along to their son, Chris Hancock—our current chief. Our farm and ambitions have grown as Hancock Seed has had success, but we’ve never forgotten our roots.
