We recommend planting this mixture on well-prepared PLOWED GROUND. Plant the spring/summer blend April 1 – October 1 and plant the fall/winter blend October 1 – April. For best results, graze this annual blend only once it reaches a minimum of 8 in. in height, NOT BEFORE. If your cattle graze this down to 4 in., please remove and allow the crop to retune.
SEEDMAN’S TIP: Oldtimers say when the first cow lays down, it means it’s time run the others out of there! Graze them hard 4 to 6 hours a day and remove in the evening to get the most out of this blend.
For best results, please review our Planting Guide and the specific product description before planting. Each product has recommended planting methods, timing, and seeding rates that are important for successful establishment. Following these guidelines will help ensure optimal performance and stand success.
