Our seasonal goat forage blend was designed with goats’ favorite varieties in mind while keeping up with their persistent grazing during the spring/summer and fall/winter. Our years of seed experience, combined with recommendations from Florida A&M’s animal science specialists, helped us design our seasonal grazing goat forage mix to be exactly what goat enthusiasts have been looking for.
Whether you are raising goats for meat, milk, or just fun, this convenient blend consists of high-quality perennial and annual leafy legumes and grasses that grow great in many areas of the United States. This mixture can be grown on a wide array of soils and have great success. Hancock’s Grazing Goat Forage blend is a great way to increase the quality of your pasture as well as improving the soil for future plantings. The blend will grow best in climates with mild winters.
SEED MAN’S TIP: Using Sericea Lespedeza in a small amount in your goat forage will increase tannins in your goats for better digestion and act as a natural deworming agent! If possible, graze 4 - 6 hours a day and remove in the evening.
