Broadcast on tilled soil or hot mud after drawdown in June to early-July to attract ducks all duck season long and feed them on their way back north. Northern latitude summers require a different mix of plant seeds than our southern friends. This mix provides insurance against our cooler summers and provides a diversity of seed sizes and nutrients to attract a diversity of duck species from mallards, to pintails, to green-winged teal, and more. Formulated from years of experience measuring duck foods in marshes from north to south in the Mississippi and Atlantic Flyways, DrMike of the FowlWeather Podcast has this one dialled in to produce the greatest duck food density available.

Method: broadcast on tilled soil or hot mud after drawdown in late-June (northern, Cool season) to early-July (Transition Zone), preferably just before a hard rain. Roll in for best nutsedge results. Multiple planting years provide the best results.

Mixture:

  • Japanese Millet
  • Chiwapa Millet
  • Barnyard Grass
  • Pennsylvania Smartweed
  • Panic Grass
  • Yellow Nutsedge Tubers
