Chia Seed - Chia is a member of the mint family native to South America. Research shows Chia was cultivated by the Aztecs in pre-columbian times and is suggested to be as important as maize. Chia is commonly used whole or ground. Our Chia seed is grown, harvested and processed in Central Florida by Hancock Seed Company. The process of cultivation is as naturally as possible without the use of chemical herbicides or pesticides.
