Studies have shown that Chia can be used as a natural replacement for many supplements in horses, as they are more palatable and easier to digest. For best results, Chia seed are normally fed alone daily, or mixed in with a horse's feed.
Feed 2 ounces per horse daily for maintenance. Feed 4 ounces per horse daily for health issues, heavy work, competition, hauling or sand treatment. Mix well with pellets or grain, or fed alone dry.
