Golden Yellow Lupine is an annual plant that blooms mid to late spring and can grow up to 24 in. tall. This plant prefers full sun areas and can adapt to most soils but grows best in coarser to medium texture soils. This lupine does not have high drought tolerance and will require moisture for optimal growth. This plant is also best for ornamental purposes and shouldn’t be used for grazing applications. This grass is typically planted along the Pacific coasts and is native to California. Lupine can also thrive in areas of the Southeast U.S. if planted in the cooler time of the year.
