Hancock's Spring & Summer Food Plot Seed Mix offers four high-quality, high-protein legumes to bring in the deer when native browse has become tough and low in nutrition. Hancock's Spring & Summer Food Plot Seed Mix will provide high protein nutrition throughout the spring and summer, into the fall until the first hard frost. High protein food plots will increase antler size, body weight and herd health. Our Spring & Summer Mix will continue to feed your deer herd into the first part of hunting season.
The fast-germinating Wild Game Sorghum, Peredovic Sunflowers, Dwarf Deer Corn, and Millet help protect the legume seedlings from early over-browse. After the Iron Clay Peas, Aeschynomene, Sunn Hemp and Alyce Clover are established, deer will utilize their tender buds all Summer until the first hard frost. Depending on your food plot location, this food plot seed mix can still be drawing deer well into the fall and winter hunting season.
Hancock's Spring & Summer Food Plot Seed Mix is scarified and pre-inoculated.
"I have used Hancock Seed products at my hunt clubs for over five years with dramatic results. My deer herd and turkey flocks are not only healthier but the numbers have dramatically increased with these products. The blended product that I get, gives me a food plot which has different nutrients maturing at different times during the growing season, thus giving me a continual food source for my wildlife. I like these products the best because they are geared towards our Florida soils and perform the best. The results speak for themselves."
Common aeschynomene has a high nutritive value and is very palatable to cattle and deer. It has been used in the cattle industry and for wildlife plantings for many years. Alyce Clover is a high protein legume that provides essential nutrients for antler growth during the summer months. Sunn Hemp provides as much as 2.5 tons per acre of green tonnage. with a maximum of 100 units of Nitrogen fixation per acre in as little as 60 days. It is also known to suppress nematodes. Dwarf Wildlife Corn seed is a excellent source of food plot nutrition and feed for deer and waterfowl. Japanese millet is great for dove fields, duck ponds, deer feed, pheasant feed, cover crops, bird seed, erosion control and much more. WGF Sorghum is great for spring and summer food plots for deer and game birds. WGF Sorghum is bird-resistant, which keeps migrating flocks of blackbirds from stripping it in late Summer. When compared to striped sunflower seeds, Peredovic black oil sunflower seeds are meatier and have a higher oil content, giving birds more nutrition and calories in every bite. Deer are highly fond of Iron Clay Cowpeas, which is fortunate because the Iron Clay Cowpeas provide a high level of protein that will help promote antler growth. Be sure to keep the new seed protected while it matures!
